This morning Roy learned about taking care of the missionaries vehicles in the mission. This might be a job he will be called upon to do. This afternoon was a review of all we have learn. I was not there. I finally caught Roy’s cold. I knew it was coming. Darn it! So, Roy went to the review. He said it was hard, but he got it
Before the afternoon meeting, the class had a testimony meeting. It was good to hear from everyone and to know how they felt about being in the MTC and the class. They all felt the spirit of the MTC and of being together in class and learning. I think we are all prepared to go to our various missions knowing that we have been well taught. We know that our Heavenly Father is with us and that He cares for us and makes the way brighter for us. Roy and I thank Him everyday in our prayers.
Our children have been texting us today asking if we are ready for our long trip to Maryland. Yep, we are! We are first taking a side trip to Roy’s brother Jerry’s home. Jerry and his wife Myra and daughter Katherine are so supportive of us in this service adventure. They have cheered us on, asked good questions, and told us what a great job we will do.
Roy and I cannot ever express all of the love and support we have received and continue to receive from all of our friends and family. You just don’t realize how much that means when you make a commitment such as this. We have never doubted our decision, but we have wondered if all would go well. Your support has given us the courage to get through the hard parts – which, so far, have been far and few between. We love and appreciate you all so much.
Tonight, after dinner, we are packing and getting all our suitcases together and ready to go. Tomorrow we will eat our last breakfast in that wonderful MTC cafeteria. No more home cooking – that can be good and bad. The food is awesome but my waistline feels it too much.
After we leave Jerry’s home, probably Saturday or Monday (haven’t decided yet) we will be heading on our way!
We will miss Utah, but we are ready for some new scenery and a new adventure.
