Today was our first day at the Missionary Office. It was a learning experience, but we both knew it was something that we could do. We had plenty of training on the Church’s web based program in the Missionary Training Center (MTC). About 2:30 we had an office meeting with our partner Sr. Missionaries; Elder and Sister Gibbons, Sister McKenderick and President Belliston. President gave each of us a chance to talk about what uplifting experience we had happen this past week. Roy and both spoke of the baptism we attended on Saturday and Roy spoke how he got lost going to church without me on Sunday. Roy looks upon it as a learning experience
. President also talked about the Leadership Training conference we will be attending tomorrow with half of the mission Elders and Sisters. This comprises approximately sixty, plus us office missionaries. The missionaries will be given training on how to reply to the many questions they will have to answer from non-members who are not familiar with our church. It can prove interesting if you are not sure what sure what the answers are. You don’t want to steer them wrong, yet you want to be knowledgeable about what you are going to teach them. The best answer is an honest answer. If you are not sure, then explain that you will get back to them with the answer (and you can see if they are really interested. . . 
). We will be gone from 8:30 until early afternoon. The next day we are attending another training session which will be held about 80 miles away in Virginia. This will be for the other half of the mission. We get lunch served at this one because it is so far away for us.
I got scheduled with Kaiser out here in Maryland. I am in the process of finding a doctor for Roy and then a dentist for the two of us. Oh yeah, I found someone to do my hair. Now that is important – you women will understand. I have had the same hairdresser for 15 years – help!!
Long day. Time to rest.
