Well, we spent our P-Day in the office going through the lists of missionaries and figuring out who has received gifts and who have not. There were twenty-two Elders who had not been sent gifts from home and five sisters. Wow. We had to do some fast thinking. Because of the kindness and generosity of the wards we were able to take some gifts from the sixteen donated boxes of goodies and put together the needed twenty-seven boxes of gifts for those who have not gotten anything from home. Humm, makes me think of the loaves and fishes . . .Heavenly Father always helps us find a way to do what He needs done.
After working all day, we went to dinner Applebees. At the one we went to in Catonsville (about 5 miles from our apartment) they are doing a pilot program for a new computer program. At teach of the tables is a little computer type thing which gives you all of the choices on the menu. You decide what you want and put your choices in the ‘cart’. Then your order is sent immediately to the kitchen and served at your table in record time. While you are waiting you can play games on this table computer. Two game times are free after that you pay .99 per game for unlimited use (while at the restaurant). When you are finished with your meal, you can press PAY, slide your credit card and it will prompt you for a tip (of course) and then process your credit card. Your receipt is either brought to you by your waiter or emailed – your choice. We decided there are advantages but you have to get used to the machine and how to use it.
