Nepua, the newest member of our Ward
Today after church we attended a baptism for Nepua who is from Shiri Lanka. What a wonderful new member. She is so excited to be in the Church. Her husband and daughter are already members.
Nepua had a lot of support at her baptism.
After the baptism we went to dinner at the Stephens’ home. Nathan Stephens’ Mother is in town. Her name is Dorothy Stephens. She and Val were in our Stake in Citrus Heights for years. We raised our children about the same time. It was so fun to reconnect with her. Hopefully I’ll remember to take a picture of her before she leaves on Friday. We will be going to lunch, so I should be able to remember to take one then. With all that is going on with the Storm, my mind has totally been preoccupied.
Most of the missionaries will be staying inside tomorrow because of the storm. The transit system in Washington DC and Baltimore has been closed down. Therefore, no transportation. The wind and rain should start in tonight. We are as prepared as we can be. Keep us in your prayers.
