Today was the Annapolis, Baltimore & Columbia Zones Conference. Even though it had the same content as yesterday’s Conference, it was tailored to the missionaries who were attending today. That was because of the inspiration that was involved in planning the topics. Elder Koelliker discussed “Patterns” in our life. He stated tha the best pattern for our individual life is our patriarchal blessing. NOTE: The patriarchal blessing is given to each worthy member of the church who desires to have it. It is usually given no sooner than your 16th or 17th birthday. It is a personal revelation given to the individual by a person known as a Stake Patriarch. The Stake Patriarch has been given special blessings to receive the revelation meant for the person receiving it.
Elder Koelliker also said that “Everything good that has come to his life has come from his mission.” Elder Boehrer and I agree on this completely. We have seen how our children’s mission has shaped their lives. We have seen growth in our own lives, even at our age!
