Oh my gosh, I went for a walk this morning before we left for the Mission Office. It was glorious! I have not walked for about four weeks and it was really getting to me. Not only physically, but mentally. I got up about 6:00 and thought “No matter what, I am going walking”. I said a prayer that I would be able to walk in safety and to know where I shouldn’t go if it wasn’t safe. The walk was perfect. The wind was blowing – yep, Mike, our kind of day. I have not felt that good physically for a long time. Every place I chose to go was awesome. I’m so glad that I can get the exercise I have been needing. Yay! It means we will get into the office later, but they are fine with that. We are supposed to take care of ourselves physically.
I had a lot of training today. There is nothing that will be too taxing on my senior brain. It’s mainly just procedures. I am looking forward to the day when I am on my own. I truly enjoy Sister McKibben, the Sister who is training me, but I am ready to try it on my own. Of course, as soon as I do, I’ll be shaking in my shoes . . .
Elder Boehrer is doing great. He is catching on fast and has people calling him already. So far, he able to answer every question he has been asked. I’m impressed!
I have included a picture of the beautiful window we look out of when we are sitting on the couch. It makes our day.
Sliding window – beautiful view
Our ‘dining’ area – comfortable Kitchen – functional
Our new favorite place to eat – too bad I won’t be able to fit in a chair soon.
