An exciting day for the Boehrer and Poulsen families.  Bryan and Monica have a new addition to their family – 8lbs 13 oz 22 inch baby boy.  He has bright red hair, dark skin and blue, blue eyes.  His sister Hailey (18 months),IMG_2088 came into the hospital room and right away hugged and held him.  She then proceeded to scream if someone tried to take him away.Open-mouthed smile   Cali (5 years old), Phone Pictures 2011 198immediately decided she was ‘in charge’.  Bryan said it was typical Cali and hysterical.  The doctor came into the room to check Jackson’s vitals and Cali stated that she needed to check them also.  The doctor had a smile on his face and was very serious with Cali while letting her tell him that her brother sounded like he was doing just fine.  Sam, the big  brother, Phone Pictures 2011 273 is ecstatic because his new baby brother has red hair just like him.  He just couldn’t get over that!     He will be the best big brother everWinking smile.

Today Elder Boehrer and I attended a training session for the missionaries.  It was so fun to see all of the missionaries gathered together in one place.  There were about sixty and that is only half of the mission.  I took some pictures to try and show you how many were there, but it doesn’t do it justice.  At the beginning of the meeting we all met in the chapel.  President Belliston asked all of us senior missionaries to come up to the front of the chapel.  So Elder Boehrer and I, Elder and Sister Gibbons and Elder and Sister Flynn and Sister McKeddrick along with President and Sister Belliston came and stood in front of the chapel and ALL of the missionaries proceeded to come to the front one by one and shake our hands and introduce themselves.  Oh my gosh, it was so awesome!  To see to hat many young men and women who are putting their lives on hold for 18 to 24 months to serve the Lord and therefore, to serve others.  Unbelievable.  It brought back such memories of our children and of friend’s children who have served missions.  It takes dedication and sacrifice.  But any of you who have served a mission know that the blessings you and your family receive are abundant.

After we bore our testimony, President Belliston asked the missionaries to share different experiences they have had in the mission.  It was fun to hear what goes on when the missionaries go out and share the Gospel.  Some stories are funny, some are endearing, some are encouraging, but all of the stories are exciting to hear.  President also asked the group to quote by memory scriptures that he threw out at them.  Gosh, I hope they don’t ask me to do that.  I read the scriptures, but quoting them is not easy for me, but I’m trying.

After that we sat down and then Elder Boehrer and I were asked to bear our testimony.  Note:  To bear your testimony means you tell your beliefs about Christ and what the church means to you.  It is an uplifting and personal feeling for each individual who is asked to do so.  We truly enjoyed sharing what we know to be true and that is that we believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church and we hope to bring others unto Christ and to understand and  believe on His words.  I love my friends and family.  They are very important to me and I want them to know how important this church is to me.  I hope I always represent it well, but let’s be honest, I’m human, but I’m trying Flirt male.

Oh yeah, I also wanted to show you some more pictures of us at the office.  Ahh, note the difference in how much we are working . . .P1000321 Elder Boehrer   and Elder Gibbons ‘chatting’.   P1000322  Sister Boehrer and Sister Gibbons looking like we are working . . .
