Flowers and Peanut M&Ms from Jennifer for Mother’s Day! (Jenni wanted to be sure I wasn’t left out). Love my girl
At work Sister Gibbons and Sister McKibben got some flowers, balloons and an Eatable Delight for Mother’s Day. It was fun to see all of the flower delivery trucks bringing in these beautiful bouquets. Guess my children will have to step up for the Holidays. I don’t want to be the only one who is left with no flowers or anything. I know my children love and appreciate me, and I don’t need flowers, etc., I think . . .

Thank Goodness It’s Friday!. It’s been a long productive week, but longggggg. I took some pictures on my walk this morning. It is beyond belief how beautiful it is out here, especially in the morning. There are churches on every corner. I also took a picture of a church that is over 100 years old. I would love to go in it someday. Maybe I could pretend I’m a member.
These Churches are everywhere.
100 Years Old
At lunch time Elder Boehrer, myself and Sister McKibben took a walk to the grocery store and got some salad for lunch. The main grocery store that we have seen in Maryland is called Giant. A little pricey, but good stuff. I took some pictures as we were walking. Again, the place where our office located is so beautiful.
.
Yep, I had to take a picture of where Elder Boehrer gets his hair cut.
Elders VanKammen, Dobson, Brown and Young stopped by the office today to pick up supplies. Sisters McKibben and Gibbons asked them to sing us a Mother’s Day song. I felt sorry for the Elders. They were embarrassed but being the good young men they are (plus, they had no choice), they sang to us. It was a good effort. Elder Boehrer and I were talking about it later and thought if someone had asked our boys to sing for them, well, they would wish they hadn’t. The only one who might have gone along with it would be Danny and it would not have been pretty. Funny, but not pretty.
A SERANADE
I honestly can’t wait until I am on my own at the office. I think I can handle everything at the desk, but I have to wait until Sister McKibben is on her way home. She leaves on the 29th of May. She is planning a big party on Memorial Day. She loves a party like the rest of us.

P. S. We had a young African American boy ask us if we were Mormon. We said ‘Yes’. He smiled real big and moved on.
