Well last week we got a call from a senior couple who had been called to replace Elder Boehrer and I. We hadn’t planned on coming home until after the June transfers so if this couple was coming to replace us in April, then it seemed we would go home sooner. I told the President about the call and he was blow away. He said that he hadn’t even contacted Salt Lake City to let them know he would be needing another senior couple to replace us. Long story short, yesterday President called Salt Lake and said that he wanted us to stay as long as we wanted, which for us would be June. So, we will be coming home in June after transfers, unless they don’t have a couple to replace us.
We NEED more senior couples to serve missions. The church is opening fifty-eight more missions and couples are needed to serve in the offices and to serve in the wards. We’re so grateful we are out here and doing the Lord’s work. It is so fulfilling. Never a dull moment . . .
