Missionary Purpose
Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the
restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and
His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
Tonight Sisters Riggs and Bailey came over with the purpose of teaching two investigators. They got here about 7:50 and we waited until about 8:20 for the investigators to show up. They never did. The sisters gave us a lesson on The Restoration. They needed practice time so we were their pretend investigators. It is really inspiring to hear the missionaries teach. They are 21 and 25 years old and they know more about the gospel than us ‘seasoned’ missionaries. Honestly, they are well taught and they study everyday AND they have inspiration on their side. I know that us Senior Missionaries have more life experiences and that sometimes helps in teaching those who are older – but we can certainly work with the young missionaries in bringing people into the Gospel. It was a wonderful evening. The spirit was so strong and the young sisters were so full of life and had so much information to give us. It just further strengthens Elder Boehrer and my love of this mission and we know the reason we are here! Our Missionary Purpose (see above) tells it all.
