A Mouse!

Disappointed smile    Yep, we have a mouse in our apartment.  I saw the little critter dart across the room so fast I almost missed it.  Gosh, I hope there is only one!!! Please!!!!  We will let the apartment office know on Monday.  I just have to tell myself that mice do not like to get in the beds of humans while they are sleeping.  Yikes!!!!

Today was our P (preparation) day.  I cleaned the apartment, did all of the wash, paid our bills and opened all the windows and doors and let the beautiful spring air into the apartment.  It was the best feeling.  I LOVE the wind.  Especially a summer wind!  Elder Boehrer was gone from 7:30 this morning until 3:00 this afternoon.  He and Elder Gibbons helped some Sister missionaries moved into their apartment.  The members of the sister’s ward were supposed to come and help, but only one showed up, so it was Elder Gibbons, the one member and Elder Boehrer moving furniture for about an hour and a half.  All part of the mission Angel

When Elder Boehrer got home we went shopping at Ross and because tomorrow is Sunday and we don’t want to go to the store (we have been told in the bible to honor the Sabbath Day and to keep it holy, we, as missionaries, honor that totally.)     We ate at Country Buffet, because I like it, and also because it was the only restaurant not busy on a Saturday night.  When I get home, I know my friends will not want to go to a buffet, so I’m getting my fill of it out here in Maryland.  I sure to miss a good salad bar.  Good fresh vegetables are hard to find out here.

Honoring the Sabbath is a commandment that we all need to follow, but in all honesty, I have not always been diligent in keeping it as holy as I should.  Our mission has helped me to get in the habit of keeping Sundays as a day for rest, family, helping others as needed, etc.  Tomorrow is Fast Sunday.  NOTE:  Fast Sunday is when we fast for two meals.  We pay the cost of those two meals to the church and it is called Fast Offering.  The Fast Offering money is used to help the needy.  We dedicate our fast to those in need spiritually, mentally and/or physically.  It can be someone in our family, friends, neighbors, whomever we feel there is a need.  Not sure if I explained that before).  I will start my fast this evening and end it after church tomorrow.  If done right, fasting brings many blessings, not only to whom your fasting for, but also helps you to become stronger as a person and more self-disciplined.
