Christmas Broadcast & Rain in California

This picture shows one of the many reasons we love our laptop so much.  Besides never really giving us any trouble, it also doubles as our BYU channel.  Tonight was the Christmas Broadcast in Salt Lake City.  If we couldn’t get it on our TV, which would have normally been impossible because Comcast doesn’t have the BYU channel, we could go to the Stake Center where it would have been broadcast.  But, nothing is better than being able to see it in your own home where it’s warm and comfortable.  Thanks Computer

It has been pouring ‘cats and dogs’ in California.  Carolyn Grover, a close friend of ours in the ward (in California), said that she had to use a different route to get to church this morning because of flooding.  Bill SHirley said that the neighbor boy was paddling up and down the street with a kayak.  Funny!!!My friend, Linda’s daughter finished a marathon in this weather.  Talk about perseverance!  Michael’s (our son) court was flooded.  He was able to walk knee deep in water in the middle of his street.  Kinda fun for his girls, but a nuisance if it effects your home.  Our son Bryan moved into a new home yesterday with a pool.  He called our Michael because his pool was overflowing and he was manually trying to get the water out.  Mike let him know that it would drain on it’s own.  Brothers, helping brothers.  Grateful for that.  Again, Elder Boehrer and I are so grateful for our two sons who watch over our home.  Today Michael called us to let us know that we have a leak in our washroom.  He said that the washroom was full of water and one of the drains was very clogged.  Well, he unclogged the drain and took care of the leak.  So grateful for him.  We knew that he could always call Roger Cobabe, in our ward, and he would help with the problem.  What would we do without the help of family and friends.
