This is what you get when you come to our home to teach a lesson -
Sister Bailey and Riggs came to our home tonight to teach a new investigator from India. His name is Mogambi (hope I spelled that correctly). It was inspiring to watch and listen to the sisters give the lesson they had prepared. Brother Mogambi had many questions but also many answers as to why he feels that things happen. The hold up for him, and this is only his second discussion (lesson), is that he feels that there are many supreme beings who can give us counsel and guidance. The lesson tonight was on revelation and why we have prophets and how they get direction from Heavenly Father, which we are entitled to also.
Mogambi seemed truly interested in learning more
He reminds me of my friend Megha who I worked with at San Juan School District.
Tonight we wanted Mogambi to read in the scriptures along with us. Elder Boehrer handed him his scriptures, which are large print and huge. Mogambi held them and said “The only book I’ve held this big is an Oxford Dictionary.” Funny. They are huge and they weigh a TON.
Sisters Riggs and Bailey did a great job.
