The Amish

IMG_4458Today Sister Jones, myself and Sister Richards went to Pennsylvania to see the Amish people and to take a tour of the area.  It was very interesting.  IMG_4446We saw the farms that the Amish people live and work on.  Each one of them were so well taken care of; no broken down barns; unplowed fields; nor broken fences, etc.  IMG_4475Also, we watched how they worked in the fields with the equipment.  Their equipment was very nice and well taken care of, but it was always pulled by horses. IMG_4462 It was almost like going back in time.

P.S. Jenni asked me if I was still on a mission.  Yep, just want to get the opportunity to see this beautiful mission and it’s surrounding areas before we go home . . .Winking smile

I didn’t know they rode scooters.

Everywhere we went we saw clothes lines.  The Amish don’t use dryers.

Yep, a weird name for a town. but the Amish people felt this was an appropriate name for two roads that cross each other…IMG_4474
