Elder Boehrer and I sure do love our children – of course. Lately they have been on my mind a lot. I am grateful we are serving, never have regretted that, but when I think about what years we are missing when it comes to the growth of our grandchildren, it helps to remember a plaque I read at the President’s home. It stated “A missionary is someone who leaves their home for a little while so that their family can be together for eternity”. I believe that to be true. I love the plan Heavenly Father has laid out for us. I believe the Gospel to be true and I hope our example will inspire our family to believe it and if they have doubts, then learn to study about it and find out for themselves.
Elder Boehrer and I had a date night tonight. It was fun. We haven’t just hung out together and done what we wanted to do for quit a while, ie. go out to dinner, take a drive and just enjoy each other’s company. It has been a nice evening. Nothing better than enjoying the company of your best friend and companion.
