Elder Streuling & President Richards – Yumm, pizza
Friday we had Zone Leader Training. Sister Richards got pizza for the missionaries. Yep, they loved it!
Sister Park and Sister Walker
Today we got ready for transfers. This week we have six missionaries coming in on Tuesday and seven going home on Wednesday. We have about fifteen changes on the organization chart which means I have to have a letter for each missionary who is getting a change in assignment and also a letter for each of their parents. For those who are departing we have to send a letter to their parents, to their Stake President, their Bishop and the President gives them a letter. I put together a binder for each of the new arrivals and a departing binder for each of the departures. Whew! Soon we will have a huge bubble of missionaries because of the change in age – 18 for elders and 19 for sisters. Next month we will have eighteen leaving and twelve arriving. That’s on top of all else that needs to be kept up. You are right if you think that sounds like a lot, it is, but it all gets done – and, I’m sure we know why
Tomorrow we finish getting ready for the arrivals and departure missionaries and we leave the office at 3:00 to go to the grocery store to pickup groceries for the departing missionaries lunch which they will eat on their way to the temple. Then we go to Sister Richards to help with the dinner for the missionaries and to put together the lunches. Another busy day.
Love our mission.
